the Bronzed Brass finish the parts of the fixture are
oxidized to a dark brown finish.
The metal is then lacquered with a satin finish which will
help protect it from handling and the wear of time. Although this is often called "oil rubbed bronze" , techinically it is not. There is no oil or rubbing involved. It is however an authentic oxidized finish, not a sprayed on or anodized finish.
